MP Saeed.
Member for Maavashu Constituency Mohamed Saeed has stated that the best course of action for MDP is to accept the development garnered by President Abdulla Yameen to the Maldives and plot a path to do better.
During the debates regarding the report published by the Development and Heritage Committee of People's Majlis on housing policy and Hiyaa project, Saeed responded as such regarding MDP members criticizing President Yameen and the PPM Mayoral candidate for the upcoming Local Council Elections Dr. Muizz.
In response to the criticism regarding the Hiyaa project towards the previous government, Member Saeedh stated that this government had failed to provide the citizens with the keys to these flats and that they only provided excuses upon excuses to not do so, such as stating that the flats are "pigeon holes" and other remarks.
In response to the harsh comments about Dr. Muizzu, Member Saeed stated that Muizzu is the most successful Housing Minister in the history of Maldives and Saeed brought forth the question of what has been done to improve the living conditions of citizens despite Male' City Council being under an MDP government for over 11 months.
Member Saeed also stated that President Yaameen was the only one who put forth the necessary efforts to solve the housing crisis. He further stated that this government does not have an efficient budget capable of running another housing scheme and that no matter how harshly MDP criticizes Dr. Muizz as Local Council Elections nears to garner votes, Dr. Muizzu will succeed in this election with flying colors.
After stating that MDP should focus on their development, Member Saeed also stated that President Yameen's five years were the 5 years that nourished and developed the Maldives and that President Yameen brought about development to the building sector by two digits and to accept such truths and to focus on developing their own projects better.
