The Maldives had received the highest number of tourists yesterday, according to statistics published by the Ministry of Tourism.
According to statistics, 4,373 people had arrived to the Maldives just yesterday alone. Prior to yesterday, the Maldives had received this many tourists in January. 4,218 tourists had arrived on January 31.
Most tourists had travelled to the Maldives from Russia, with 25,548 total arrivals. Second most has been India, with 24,171 arrivals. With Ukraine (8,397), Kazakhstan (5,427), and Romania (4,815) following.
While tourism is slowly improving this year, the Maldives had received a total 113,592 arrivals as of yesterday.
