Previous Govt Better at Maintaining Public Spaces: Dr Muizz

The former Minister of Housing, PPM vice-president, Dr Mohamed Muizz has expressed concern regarding the deteriorating state of Malé’s parks and public spaces.

In a tweet today, Dr Muizz pointed out that the palm-leaf roof of a swing in Hitthan Maizan was rotting off, and quipped that neither the Malé City Council nor the government had an eye that could see it.

“The previous administration’s dedication to maintaining Malé’s parks and public spaces need to be revived”, said Dr Muiz.

Since the inauguration of President Solih, the government has been extremely careless with maintaining Malé’s public spaces. Many of the parks and public spaces built by the previous administration are currently in ruins.
