Two Students and Teacher on Ventilators After Serious Road Accident in R. Fainu

Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has confirmed that two children and a teacher injured in a serious road accident in R. Fainu are currently receiving treatment on ventilators, with all three in critical condition.
The accident occurred when a motorcycle driven by an underage rider struck a group of individuals who were out exercising. Both the driver and passenger on the motorcycle were under 18. The victims include a 49-year-old male teacher and two male students aged 16 and 14. According to IGMH, all three sustained serious injuries.
The principal of Fainu School was also injured in the accident but has since been treated and discharged from Ungoofaaru Regional Hospital.
Authorities have towed the motorcycle involved in the incident, and police are actively investigating the case. Further details on the exact nature of the injuries have not yet been disclosed.
The incident has raised renewed concerns over underage driving and road safety in residential communities.
