President Muizzu Reaffirms Maldives' Commitment to Palestinian Cause

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has reaffirmed the Maldives’ unwavering commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause during a formal ceremony held today to accept the credentials of the new non-resident Ambassador of Palestine to the Maldives, His Excellency Ihab Ibrahim Mohamed Khalil.
Congratulating the Ambassador, President Muizzu expressed his sincere appreciation for the longstanding relationship between the Maldives and Palestine and reiterated the country’s dedication to advocating for Palestinian rights on the international stage.

According to the President’s Office, Ambassador Khalil conveyed his gratitude for the Maldives’ consistent support and emphasized the importance of continued advocacy for the Palestinian people. Both leaders also expressed mutual interest in further strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.
The Maldives and Palestine officially established diplomatic relations on April 4, 1982.
