Former US President Bill Clinton, 78, has been admitted to Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC, for observation and tests after developing a fever.
Clinton’s spokesman, Angel Ureña, stated on X (formerly Twitter) that the former president is in good spirits and receiving excellent care. While further details on his condition were not provided, sources close to Clinton assured NBC News that the situation is “not urgent” and that he is expected to recover.
This marks another health scare for the 42nd president, who has faced significant medical challenges in the past, including heart surgeries and a blood infection in 2021. A known advocate of healthy living in recent years, Clinton credited his vegan lifestyle for improving his health.
Clinton has remained active post-presidency, recently releasing his latest book Citizen: My Life After the White House and campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris in her presidential bid.
