Maldives Condemns Israeli Strike on Al-Nuseirat Camp, Calls for Urgent International Action

Government of Maldives has issued a strong condemnation of the bombing of Al-Nuseirat Camp in central Gaza by Israeli forces. The attack has reportedly resulted in the massacre of numerous innocent civilians, further exacerbating the dire humanitarian crisis in the region.
In a statement released on December 14, the Maldivian government reaffirmed its steadfast stance against such flagrant violations of international law and humanitarian principles. The statement emphasized that the targeting of civilians in Gaza not only contravenes international legal norms but also perpetuates the cycle of violence and instability in the region.
The Maldives called upon the international community to take immediate and decisive action to halt Israel’s aggressive attacks, de-escalate tensions, and ensure the protection of innocent lives. Stressing the urgent need for effective interventions, the government highlighted the necessity of achieving lasting peace in the region.
"The international community must act now to put an end to these repeated violations," the statement read, underscoring the Maldives’ solidarity with the Palestinian people in their pursuit of justice and statehood.
This declaration aligns with the Maldives' consistent advocacy for the rights of Palestinians and its commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region through adherence to international legal frameworks.
