Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed has said that he will not back down an inch in defending the government of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
Minister Saeed made this promise at the campaign rally of Ali Moosa, candidate for the Hoarafushi constituency on the PPM/PNC ticket in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Saeed’s speech was very critical of the opposition MDP. His criticism included saying that MDP is a party that the people have said no to because of its deviation from protecting the nation’s interests, and they are the only party with a history of deviation.
The people will not be deceived by what the MDP leadership says on the podiums and the party members will not hesitate to defend the government of the PPM/PNC coalition, he said.
In addition, Saeed highlighted the government's ongoing projects and economic activities. The work of the Maldives Economic Gateway started in Hoarafushi within the first week of the government and as a result more than 1,000 companies have mapped Hoarafushi, he said.
In addition, the bunkering service will bring huge economic benefits to the Hoarafushi area, he said.
