A high level meeting between the Maldivian and Turkish Governments, led by the Presidents of the two countries.
The Republic of Maldives has established an embassy in Ankara, Turkey.
The main objective of the embassy is to expand relations between Turkey and Maldives and further improve political, economic and cultural relations between the two countries.
President Dr. Muizzu has begun to strengthen relations between Maldives and Turkey since taking office. His visit to Turkey included the signing of a trade agreement with the country and the importation of sugarcane.
Turkey was also the first country that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu visited after taking office.
