Government Will Support All Councils Regardless of Ideology: Minister Shareef

Local Government Minister Adam Shareef Umar said yesterday that the government will give full cooperation to all councils regardless of ideology or party affiliation.
Minister Adam Shareef said this after Dhuvaafaru Council President Hassan Hakeem said that 2023 will be a year of challenges and expressed his belief that the government will not cooperate to run the councils.
In a post on the X, Minister Adam Shareef said this attitude will change in the PNC government. He said the government will empower the councils to provide services to the people and carry out the necessary council activities.
President Dr. Muizzu has promised that he will cooperate with all councils regardless of ideology, he said.
''The future of councils will be bright,'' the minister said.
