The Civil Court has ordered the ADK Hospital Pvt Ltd to be paid 130,000 MVR, a total outstanding balance, by the government after acquiring goods and services.
ADK has filed a civil suit against the Ministry of Health seeking to recover 382,497 MVR from the Ministry for services provided by the company during the previous administration.
The case involves outstanding payments for various services received by the hospital between January 18, 2021 and October 31, 2021.
The Health Ministry told the court that it agreed to pay 325,000 MVR to ADK. However, the ministry has paid some of the invoices. The outstanding amount is 130,000 MVR, the ministry said.
The company has asked the civil court to pay the money in one lump sum within 30 days from the date of the judgment. Judge Abdul Nasir Shafeeg ordered the Health Ministry to pay ADK within 30 days from January 17th.
The MDP government and government companies from the MDP administration have left a track record of not paying the money owed after procuring services and goods from private enterprises within the stipulated periods.
