Agreement signed with OIC to Improve Maldives Fatwa Council

An agreement has been signed with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to improve the Fatwa Council in Maldives.

The main objective of the agreement with the OIC's International Islamic Fiqh Academy is to strengthen the Fatwa Council in Maldives and facilitate solutions to fiqh issues.

The agreement with the OIC’s International Islamic Fiqh Academy was signed on behalf of Maldives by the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Shaheem Ali Saeed. The agreement was signed on behalf of the council by the Secretary General of the Academy, Professor Dr. Guthub Mustafa Sanu.

The Minister, Dr. Shaheem, who is on a visit to Saudi Arabia, invited Professor Guthub to visit Maldives.
