A Polish tourist visiting the Island of Thulusdhhoo in the Maldives has lost his life in a speedboat accident. The tourist, who was snorkelling in the outer lagoon of the island, was hit by a speed boat and sustained severe injuries. Despite being rescued and taken to the health center on the island, he was declared dead upon arrival.
According to the president of the Thulusdhoo Island Council, the tourist suffered multiple injuries, including chest wounds and the amputation of one arm, due to the impact of the boat's propeller. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, the tourist was unable to be saved.
The incident has stunned the local community and tourist industry, as tourist deaths are relatively rare in the Maldives.
