Former commissioner of police Ahmed Faseeh has been appointed to the vacant seat of the police board.
A seat in the Police Board fell vacant after President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih appointed former member Ali Faiz as the Ambassador of the Maldives to Sri Lanka.
Fasih, who was appointed commissioner of police during president Mohamed Nasheed's tenure, was the commissioner of police when Nasheed resigned from his post on February 7, 2012.
Faseeh later served as deputy CEO of MTCC.
