Maldives Tennis Challenge: Maldives hosts international competition

Maldives Tennis Association (MTA) revealed that the Maldives is hosting an international tennis competition, “Maldives Tennis Challenge 2022” between November 15 - 21.
According to MTA, five countries, excluding Maldives, will compete in the challenge; Bahrain, Oman, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Thailand.
The competition is open for 12-14 year olds for junior open boys and girls to participate.
The MTA stated that the challenge including 50 participants from 6 competing countries aims to develop and grow the sports horizon in the Maldives and welcome global attention and opportunities for the Maldivian players.
MTA has opened the line judges post for applicants. They requested the interested parties to send their name, age and contact number to MTA, via their number 7937018.
MTA said that the training will be held on the 13th, between 10AM and 12AM. They said that line judges will receive MVR 500 per day in addition to MVR 50 per match judged.
This is the first ever first tennis competition of such caliber hosted by the Maldives.
