A campaign has begun in the Maldives, calling the government to strip Indian PM Modi off the honor 'The Most Honourable Order of the Distinguished Rule of Nishan Izzuddeen'.
The Most Honourable Order of the Distinguished Rule of Nishan Izzuddeen' is the highest civilian award in the Maldives and was conferred to Modi in 2019 by President Ibrahim Mohammed Solih.
The campaign was started by Ali Rameez the operations manager of Jamiyyath Al-Salaf a local Islamic NGO.
The government met with criticism even back in 2019 when Modi was conferred with the honor. However, the government has not responded to the concerns of the public so far.

2 years agoPM Modi got such high awards from the Islamic nations, and he loves awards and VIP treatment. But while the Muslims are persecuted in India and their Prophet is dishonored by his party members, he always keeps too quite. If the Muslim nations won't take proper actions against this kind of religious attacks from the Modi Government, more attacks against the Muslims will be continuing.
