MP Mohamed Raai (MDP-Makunudhoo) has criticised the government for its "slow" pace.
In a tweet he had posted, MP Raai said that the projects of some constituencies were progressing at a "snail's pace". Many projects have been abandoned entirely after their contracts had expired, and the rest are in an indefinite state.
Tagging the Managing Director of Fenaka, MP Raai warned him that he could not always remain mute.
MP Raai has a history of being vocally critical of the government. It is notable that he had criticised the former Fisheries Minister Zaha Waheed for her alleged negligience of the fishing community, and had called for her resignation. He has occasionally criticised Home Minister Imran Abdullah, as well.
Many projects from MP Raai's own constituency have still not begun, long after their promised starting dates.
It is also notable that several road construction projects, contracted to the Road Development Company two years ago, still have not started work.
