Two Maldivian resorts have been included among the most popular 5-star tourist hotels on Instagram.
The list of 20 facilities had been compiled by Instagram by counting the usage of relevant hashtags.
The second-most popular 5-star destination on the list was Soneva Jani with 415,361 hashtags, at ninth-place was Niyama Private Island with 69,595 hashtags. Both are resorts located in the Maldives.
The most popular hotel on the list was the Burj al-Arab in Dubai, with 2.4 million hashtags.
Soneva Jani had gained more than a million followers on Instagram last year, making it the second-most followed Maldivian tourist resort on the social media platform.
