Owner Of Popular Vaguthu Newspaper Banned From Entering India At Delhi Airport

Musharraf Hussain, the owner of the most popular Maldivian newspaper “Vaguthu”, has been arrested at Delhi Airport.

Musharraf and his family had traveled to India on a visit, and although they had been permitted to travel, the authorities at Delhi Airport had blocked him from entering. The Maldives Journal had confirmed this through one of the people who had traveled with him.

Indian Immigration had inspected his previous passport and had decided that he could not enter India, they said.

The Maldivian government is currently at work to solve the problem and let Musharraf enter the country.

India had previously blocked political figures and also one religious scholar from the Maldives from entering the country.
