Famous Lawyer and former President and Speaker of the Parliament Mohamed Nasheed's brother Nazim Sattar have filed a request to probe the accusation of influencing the judiciary to the Department of Judicial Administration (DJA).
In the screenshots that were leaked by former High Court Chief Justice Shujau Usman, Nazim Sattar was inquiring about the proceedings of High Court cases and had demanded cases not to be assigned to specific Judges.
It also said Nazim will be assigning the case to High Court and demanded not to assign Judge Hussain Shaheed and Mohamed Faisal to the judge's bench.
After leaking the screenshots on Twitter Shujau had said that Nazim is amongst those who influence the cases that are lodged in the High Court.
However, Nazim had denied the allegations stating the messages were sent to an administrative staff due to cases being assigned to specific judges he has simply asked not to assign those judges to the cases.
However, some believe that Nazim has been influencing Judiciary in many ways.
