STO Employs Managing Director's Father in Law

State Trading Organization’s Managing Director Hussain Amr’s father-in-law is now employed at a subsidiary company of STO, Fuel Supply Maldives.

Amr’s wife, CEO of Local Government Authority Afshan Latheef’s father, Latheef has been employed by a boat at Fuel Supply Maldives. A media official at STO has confirmed this news.

Latheef has maintained close ties to ruling party MDP and it’s leaders.

The issue of MDP members being elected to government and political positions have risen significantly recently.
