Addu Hospital CEO Among Highest Govt Employees in Country

The CEO of the Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH) receives a sum of MVR 110,000.
The Hospital released this information in response to a request for information sent in by a private party. The request had been submitted through the Request To Information Act. According to the information released by the Hospital, CEO Dr Mohamed Solih receives MVR 50,000 as his basic salary. In addition, Dr Solih is paid MVR 15,000 as his accommodation allowance. He is paid a sum of MVR 45,000 in other allowances.
In light of the released data, Dr Solih is one of the highest-paid government employees in the Maldives. The Maldivian President himself is paid MVR 100,000 per month. Executives of state-owned enterprises are also paid within the range of MVR 100,000 per month as well.
Several doctors who work at Addu Equatorial Hospital have not been provided a risk-allowance in the past year.
