Vela Pays MVR 62,000 In Service Charges

Velaa Private Island has paid out MVR 62,899.72 in service charges to its employees, the largest value paid out by any Maldivian resort in the previous month.
Velaa has consistently been paying high values in service charges to date.
Ithafushi has paid out the second-highest sum of approximately MVR 50,000 in the Maldives in the previous month. Cheval Blanc had also received a roughly equivalent amount.
Reethi Rah employees had received MVR 46, 367 and Four Seasons had received MVR 45,658.
Tourist resorts and hotels began abiding by a legal amendment that dictated that a minimum 10% of the price of all sales made in the tourism industry should be distributed equally among all personnel.
