Ooredoo introduces 5G in Malé

Ooredoo has introduced 5G services in Malé.
This is the Maldive's first commercially available 5G service. The service was officially launched by Minister of Science and Technology Mohamed Maleeh Jamaal during a ceremony held today.
According to a statement by Ooredoo, with the introduction of 5G services the internet and cellular services provided by the company will be faster and easier to use.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Managing Director of Ooredoo Maldives Najeeb Khan noted that online services and internet usage had increased significantly due to the Covid-19 pandemic. He also noted that Ooredoo is always striving to provide quality services to its customers.
According to Najeeb Khan, the introduction of 5G services will have a significant impact on our lives. He also noted that the service is now available in some areas of Malé and that the company will introduce more devices that can access this service.
