World Bank and IMF Say Maldives’ Economy is On Track: President

The World Bank and IMF say the economy is currently moving in the right direction, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu said.

President Dr. Muizzu said this while meeting with the people of Dhiyamigili during his visit to some of the islands in the Kolhumadulu Atoll today.

In his speech, he said that Maldives has started a lot of hard work to improve the economy, and that has been accepted by various relevant international agencies, as well as by the Maldivian people, as can be seen from the campaign and result of the presidential election last year.

President Muizzu further said that all the economic initiatives proposed by Maldives in his recent meetings with the IMF and World Bank have been accepted as the solution to overcome the current economic situation in Maldives.
